My name is Luke and I like snow

Yes I know, I am a little weird. After all, living in a tropical climate where snow can be seen only in television shows and in photographs it is most certainly strange for me to like snow.

But hey, my first experience with snow was a big deal for me. It was a beautiful sight nonetheless, with the surrounding snow-capped mountains towering over me.

So here is my second part of the first assignment. "My name is Luke and I like SNOW". Here is the concept I did:

I chose to represent the concept of snow with a snowglobe because it reminds me of the first sight I had of snow in Switzerland. In a snowglobe, everything is captured, like a freeze-frame of a picturesque view. This inextricably brings out the immaculate picture of snow in my mind.

One other reason as to why I chose the snowglobe to represent my concept of snow was because snow reminded me of Christmas. I have no idea why. Perhaps it is linked to the influence of television shows - every Christmas show I have watched has snow in it. Hence, in both concepts, I tried to portray the assignment in a "Christmas postcard" layout. Hence the open spaces in both designs, to allow the writing of messages on it.

So there. That more or less sums up my first assignment. :)
